SOS Record Attempt - March 2007

 

 

 

A. Yes. Registering just lets us know if you are planning to attend. We know the event is months away..... we are not asking for a commitment yet.

 

A. Sorry, but no. Slots will be assigned by SOS organizers and coaches AFTER participants complete three qualifying jumps scheduled for Thursday, March 15, 2007. There will be a comprehensive video debrief after each qualifying jump. SOS organizers and coaches will critique each applicant's individual freefall performance, including fall rates and compatibility with other jumpers. Applicants may indicate their individual slot preference however, actual slot assignment will be determined by coaches and organizers. Thursday evening, SOS organizers and coaches will review videotapes from each qualifying jump. Friday morning, March 16th, names will be assigned to slots for the first round of SOS world record jumps. Participants not selected for the initial round of SOS world record jumps will continue to jump with other SOS participants, Friday through Sunday. Each jump will be organized and coached by SOS event managers with full video debrief. Friday through Sunday, SOS organizers and coaches will move jumpers into, and out of, each world record formation attempt. By Sunday, March 18th, every registered SOS jumper will have had the opportunity to participate in at least one SOS world record attempt.

 

A. Registration for SOS participants is $325 USD. This includes eleven jumps Friday through Sunday and one ticket for the SOS Reunion Banquet Saturday evening, March 17, 2007, at the Quality Inn Dundee, Florida. Three qualifying jumps on Thursday, March 15, 2007 are discounted at $21 USD each and must be purchased separately from Florida Skydiving Center.

 

A. The 2007 SOS world freefall formation record March 15-18, 2007 at Lake Wales is open to everyone. Applicants must be a member of POPS and must have reached their 60th birthday on or before March 16, 2007. A. Yes. Once you register and we have your biographical and contact information, you will receive regular updates regarding the 2007 SOS world freefall formation record event at Lake Wales.

 

A. No. When registering, you will be asked to click on one of our event Captains. Select the Captain that you believe will give you the best review of your qualifications. If you do not know any event Captains, select Russ Manhold and your form will be processed. No application will be denied. All applications will be reviewed regularly. Each person will receive notification after his/her application has been received and approved.

Participants will receive a 100% refund if the SOS registration fee is paid before December 31, 2006 and the request for refund is received by December 31, 2006.

 

Participants will receive a 50% refund if the SOS registration fee is paid before February 15, 2007 and the request for refund is received between January 1 and February 15, 2007.

 

 

Participants who pay the SOS registration fee, and attend the SOS world freefall formation record March 15-18, 2007 at Lake Wales, are eligible for refund of unused record jumps at $20 per jump.

 

Banquet tickets are non-refundable.
