At the moment I have 21 names, of which only six responded to my request for a short resume. I originally gave a deadline for a decision as the end of January, but actually expected some leeway on that, especially as Lucie promised to put a piece in the mag in February for me (which she did really well)
It now looks like there is not going to be a last minute flood of names, and as my original criteria included at least 30 before I considered it viable to enter a team, I have no choice but to shelve the idea for this year.
I am sorry to have to do this, as I think that a POPS team for event like the Hibaldstow 28 way could only improve the image of POPS which has been gaining ground as we put up bigger and bigger formation records. I also believe we would have got excellent support from the staff at Target Skysports, and once started, the POPS team would have been an annual fixture.
So, that's it for 2007, but I shall look at the idea again at the end of the year with a try at getting a team for 2008. _________________ Pete Shew
