Updates to the POPS/SOS/JOS/JOES Awards program
Dear POPS/SOS/JOS/JOES Skydivers,
Alicia Moorehead is pleased to announce that, as POPS Records Administrator,
she is now accepting applications for records set in two new categories:
- "Freeflying/Vertical Formation Skydiving largest head-down formation"
- "Wing-suit Formation Skydiving largest formation"
All of the requirements for these POPS records must conform to the rules set by the USPA
except as follows: POPS and SOS records must include a minimum of 9 skydivers;
JOS (Jumpers Over Seventy) must include a minimum of 5 skydivers and
JOES (Jumpers Over Eighty Society) must include no less than 3 skydivers.
To register a POPS/SOS/JOS/JOES award, download and print the Microsoft
Word Award Application Form, or print the Adobe Acrobat
Award Application Form (.pdf), fill it in and mail to Alicia Moorehead, POPS Awards Coordinator, 3350 St. Francis Place,
Long Beach, CA 90805-3854
I encourage you to be one of the first to apply for a record in these new POPS categories for your state,
country and world divisions.
This is a FREE program that provides FREE color 8.5 x 11 inch certificates suitable for framing to each participant,
a sample of which is shown below:
In addition, FREE Individual Freefall Award Cards with number may also be claimed on the record
jump by sending the Freefall Award Application to Len Zak, POPS Awards Coordinator,

Note: Even if the planned formation was incomplete as long as the minimum number
required have docked in any slot, they've earned a FREE number & card (sample below).
